Mythology tells the story of Phyllis's lost love for Demophon, who departed, forever, far from his beloved. Faced with the sorrow of this lost love, the gods decide to transform Phyllis into an almond tree. Demophon, learning of his lover's fate, returns and embraces the tree so tightly that it immediately bursts into bloom.

Bitter almond oil is extracted from a small, spreading tree with dense foliage. Its fruit is a drupe resembling a small peach. The single seed is enclosed in a hard, stony shell called a pit, with a smooth and slightly grainy texture, marked by three ribs on one of its sides.
Bitter almonds as well as apricot kernels can be used to produce bitter almond essential oil. Present directly at the source, our supplier takes great care to ensure the traceability and responsible management of this raw material at every stage of the supply chain.
