MANI
FESTO

It’s a fact: today, fragrance is more than ever a status symbol, a way to show off.

We believe that the “exclusive fragrance made with rare and precious ingredients” has become utterly commonplace, even illusory, endlessly repeating materialistic scenarios and convoluted, sometimes pretentious stories.

We created Obvious because we wanted to restore a sense of balance and strip away the unnecessary. A fragrance house whose raw, bohemian beauty had to be as clear as it was self-evident.

PERSON
ALITY

passion

We believe in what you might call clean lines in fragrance. Complexity serves our artistic vision; it isn’t an end in itself.

SPONTANEITY

That said, we believe in living life to the fullest. That’s why our creations are fragrances that feel instinctively right, with vibrant, striking energy and, at times, a hint of nostalgia.

COMMITMENT

We go all in on our formulas. What’s inside our bottles may be the one area where we let our “too much” side run free.

THE
FOUNDER

“I love people—their perspectives, their life stories. That curiosity has shaped my path. I first studied philosophy, then my path turned toward fragrance.

When I created Obvious Parfums, I drew inspiration from Descartes’s idea of self-evident truth: the moment you grasp the truth without needing a complex explanation.

Beauty needs no explanation. Everything added around a fragrance conceals more than it reveals.

True luxury is made of time, nature preserved, and introspection. Nature gave me so much as a child in Corsica.

The city is also a strong presence in my work, especially Paris, where I’ve lived all my life. I move between a few neighborhoods where I feel at home, as though they were a village. The Marais. The Bastille neighborhood.

This unconventional spirit is an integral part of my creations. Whether at sea or around a city corner, life inspires me. I seek to capture in scent the fleeting moment when an emotion arises within us, so I can awaken it in others.

Always with an unexpected twist, because that’s where the beauty of things comes from.”
